Emergency Medical responder Training
(as requested by Art. 45, comma 2 del D.lgs. 81/2008 e S.M.I. e del D.M. 388 del 2003)
Who is the course for
This course allow to give care to others in need, while waiting for an ambulance and specialized medical personnel to arrive. It suits everyone and it’s specifically tailored for the employees that have been selected to the Company’s First Responders in case of emergencies. This course also suits anyone who can care for others like sport coaches, teachers, law enforcement officers, etc.
Length
The duration of the course for first responders varies according to the classification of work activities reported in the D.M. n. 388 of 15 July 2003:
COURSES FOR COMPANIES TYPE A – 16 hours
COURSES FOR COMPANIES TYPE B and C – 12 hours
Objectives
Provide the necessary knowledge to carry out the main first aid management activities, in particular the procedures to be activated in the event of a health emergency:
- How to recognize a health emergency
- Rescue system alert procedures
- Procedures for the implementation of first aid intervention
The course is also aimed at transmitting the basic knowledge of the main traumas and main pathologies in the workplace.
Metodology
Considering the purposes of the course, aimed at acquiring operational skills, the teaching methodology is strongly oriented to exercises and simulations of real situations with the active participation of students. The course also includes a specific didactic module of a practical nature.
Compulsion to attend in person
Participants must respect the established times and attend all scheduled sessions. Admission to the final check is subject to documentary evidence of actual presence.
Requirements to obtain the final certification
A final learning test is foreseen with the issue of a certificate of attendance.
